First Timothy 2:1 says, "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving be made for all people."  Personally and as the Pavilion of Praise Church, I (we) pray for others all the time and even meet weekly to intercede as the Lord leads.  Many of us want to be prayed for but we need more people willing to "stand in the gap" for others.  Second Chronicles 7:14 lets us know that if God's people will humble themselves and pray, seek His face, turn from their wicked ways, then  heaven opens up and He will heal the land.  I am not saying others are not praying.  So, don't stand in judgment, but please stand in prayer with us as part of the body of Christ.  All to the glory of God!

  • Pray for sinners, those who don't believe the Gospel of Christ to become faithful Disciples of Christ Jesus.
  • Pray for missionaries and for all Christians to become soul winners for Christ with a holy boldness and example; Church outreach ministries to be effective
  • Pray for bishops, pastors, apostles,  evangelists, elders, teachers, leaders in  our churches as well in local and national government positions.
  • Pray for stability, good health, wisdom. . . for the saints everywhere; for those dealing with physical and mental health problems, ongoing illness.
  • Pray for the persecuted Church; never to give up or give out, protection, faith . . .
  • Pray for healing, safety, protection, etc.. for those dealing with emotionally and physically abusive relationships: adults as well as children and youth
  • Pray for freedom, healing, resources etc. for those who are dealing with damaging addictions (i.e. sex, pornography, gluttony, excessive food/shopping, alcohol, drugs (prescription /illegal), gambling , , ,
  • Pray for financial freedom, wisdom, disciplined spending, good jobs, raises . . . for those in debt.
  • Pray for freedom in Christ. . .  from fear, rebellion, procrastination, bitterness and unforgiveness, anger, worldliness, worry, uncontrolled speech, foul language, laziness, greed, selfishness, jealousy, lying, pessimism, impatience . . .
  • Pray as the Holy Spirit leads . . .

"When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.  I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.  Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him.  Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.  And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully.  Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.  Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever!  Amen.”  (1 Timothy 2:1-4, NLT)
