      Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you.  Let me teach you, because  I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy to bear and the burden I give you is light."  (St. Matthew 11:28=30. NLT)

      Have you ever been really tired from over-working, laid down in bed and couldn't sleep or even get rest?  Maybe you've been in so much emotio

First Timothy 2:1 says, "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving be made for all people."  Personally and as the Pavilion of Praise Church, I (we) pray for others all the time and even meet weekly to intercede as the Lord leads.  Many of us want to be prayed for but we need more people willing to "stand in the gap" for others.  Second Chronicles 7:14 lets us know that if God's people will humble themselves and pray, seek His face

If you are living, you will  experience relational conflicts: There is no way to get around it.  It begins as a baby who wants it's way but cannot have it. Let's start with the definition of lazy: It means unwilling to work or use energy. I believe laziness and procrastination go hand in hand.  And, procrastination means delaying or postponing something or putting off

"But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the 'father seeketh such to worship him" (St. John 4:23).

Every thing that has breath can praise God, even the birds.  But, everyone is not a worshipper.  True worship requires intimacy with God; an openness and vulnerability.  Intimacy requires making time to be in the company of the Object of our affection.  This time of intimacy includes personal closeness, ch

The Power of Prayer

Read the following Scriptures:  1 Peter 5:7; St. Matthew 6:6-13;

 1 Thessalonians  5:16-18

Are you doing what’s important in your day ─ or only what is urgent?

People do what they want to do.  All of us make choices, and when we don’t make time for God in our day, when we don’t make time for the most important relationship in our life, we are not making the best choices.

The Creator of the universe wants to meet with you alone daily.  You are His child (St. John1:12; Galatia
