“Trust GOD from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for GOD’S voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil!” (Proverbs 3:5-8a, The Message)

Prayer is a lifeline to peace, wisdom, victory and into the very presence of God. When we run to God in prayer, He will keep us from evil (if we want to be kept).

Selfishness and rebellion are common in humans and we need the power of God to break them. The Holy Spirit will help us pray past our own will and pray the perfect will of God. Romans 8:26 says, “And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weaknesses. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.”

The goal is to pray first about everything rather than in the aftermath. And not just the “big” things, but everything. We all have missed the mark because of our flesh. That doesn’t mean we should stop practicing prayer in our life. We should desire to have a prayer life that is as natural as breathing.

When prayers seem to go unanswered, know that there is something in the spiritual realm we’re not understanding or getting.  Many times, we are expecting God to answer how we want Him to. Our ways are so much different than God’s. His ways are higher than ours. However, God will make sure we make the connection as we continue in prayer.

Intercessors are often birthed in crisis. Those who faith is willing to be fervent in prayer no matter what is going on.  James 5:16 says, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” This means when a righteous person prays with passion, persistency, by faith, it is effective and brings about results. To pray the effectual fervent prayer, we must understand what is going on in the spiritual realm. According Ephesians 6:12, our fight is not against one another, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Relationship with God is the way to live. So please know that prayer is most essential if we want peace in our lives, wisdom in the affairs of life and victory over everything.
